Pour 'n Plug® is a moisture curing leak stopper for use under adverse conditions of cold, wet, and standing water.
Pour ‘n Plug® works best on horizontal and low slope surfaces. Pour ‘n Plug® is a high solids rubber sealant that can penetrate into cracks and crevices; can be applied to damp surfaces at near freezing temperatures and will even cure underwater. It will waterproof, withstand extreme temperatures and weather as well as traffic.
Narrow cracks (⅛ inch or less) should be widened to at least 1/4 inch using an angle grinder with a masonry “crack chaser” wheel. It is important to create a reservoir so there is sufficient volume or mass of Pour ‘n Plug® to wet the sides and displace the air in the cavity. This is most important in order to completely fill the cavity.
A properly filled fissure will be watertight to prevent further damage from freezing. However a crack may reappear if there is continued settling to multiple applications may be necessary over time. Sealing the fissure to prevent structural damage will always be the most cost effective thing to do.
Add catalyst provided and mix well. Do NOT thin Pour ‘n Plug®. Locate leak source and coat the area by spreading in one direction with brush or putty knife. In standing water, pour material into water at one location and spread in one direction with a putty knife to cover the leak source. Use xylene (or equivalent) for clean up.
In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 mins and get medical attention (immediately). For skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical assistance immediately. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately. Keep out of reach of children. If spilled, contain spilled material and remove with inert absorbent. Dispose of contaminated absorbent, container and unused contents in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
